Extremely rare specimen of FLUORITE from the Thunder Bay District in Ontario, Canada. While TB is known for its famous hematite included amethyst, fluorite is very elusive and highly coveted by fine mineral collector. This high quality, larger thumbnail sized gem features vivid royal purple, cubic fluorite and quartz on matrix. The exquisite fluorite crystals have stunning color zoning and phantoms in violet and red-purple. They are full of glassy, lustrous shine, gorgeous etchings. Highly UV fluorescent, glowing a neon blue. The gemmy fluorite look amazing when backlit, showing all the internal color zoning and phantoms. The fluorite is accented by a rosette flower shaped cluster of glossy quartz crystals. The fully natural, collector’s grade specimen is from the Rossport area of Thunder Bay. An aesthetic display gem meausuring about 1.4 x 1.1 inches. Includes the collection mineral ID / locale info tag. Pics in various lightings to show detail and color.
